02 December 2022

Balkan Green Foundation (BGF) is cooperating with 7 partners of the region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Greece) in the newest project "Road Map of Social Enterprises" which will last 24 months.

The main objective of the project is to contribute to the creation of a supportive environment for social enterprises by developing a sustainable tool. This networking map will be used for the exchange of knowledge about social entrepreneurship. In addition, the platform will promote cross-sectoral collaboration; support cooperation between the project and partner countries and the development of new project initiatives that address youth unemployment and the growth of the perspective of young entrepreneurs.

During November 24 - 29, 24 enthusiastic young people from the participating countries gathered in Kruševo, North Macedonia to contribute to building the platform’s visualization, content and function.

In addition to this activity, BGF together with partners is researching the current situation in the field of social entrepreneurship through interviews with social entrepreneurs, supporters of the ecosystem of social enterprises as well as communication experts, which will serve in summarizing the recommendations that will be taken into account during the process of building the platform, its promotion as well as its sustainability.

The "Road Map of Social Enterprises" project is supported by the "Erasmus Plus" program and is implemented by the lead organization: Youth Alliance - Kruševo (North Macedonia) with partners: Balkan Green Foundation (Kosovo);  IDEA (Bulgaria); Coalition for Solidarity Economy Development (Serbia); Student Business Center (Montenegro); Enterprise Development Agency – EDA (Bosnia and Herzegovina); Youth for Social Changes (Albania); Active Youth of Florina (Greece).
