Berlin, Germany- On 10 November, Balkan Green Foundation participated in the Final Meeting of the “Green Rural Deal - Sustainable and Smart Transition Strategies for Rural Municipalities” project.
Fjolla Qorri, Researcher at BGF, presented a tool created by BGF for the evaluation of policies and benchmarking them against the Green Agenda’s sustainability framework. Mayors from the regions of Kamenica and Western Macedonia, a representative from Chancellery of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, project partners, and experts in sustainable development were all present in the meeting.
The “Green Rural Deal - Sustainable and Smart Transition Strategies for Rural Municipalities” project is supported by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature, Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety, and is an initiation between Balkan Green Foundation, Wuppertal Institut für Klima, Umwelt, Energie, Germanwatch e.V, Regional Association of Local Government of Western Macedonia and RES Foundation.
