BGF held the second workshop within the Green Rural Deal project

Kamenica - On July 7th, Balkan Green Foundation (BGF) organized the second workshop within the “Green Rural Deal - Sustainable and Smart Transition Strategies for Rural  Municipalities” project.

The interactive workshop on the “Development of Sustainable Projects in the Municipality of Kamenica”, gathered representatives from the municipality’s public institutions and non-governmental organizations and aimed to familiarize and increase participants' knowledge on writing a project proposal. 

In the second part of the workshop, participants tested the acquired skills from the first part of the workshop by drafting project ideas and then sharing them with the whole group. The first project proposal idea focused on the “Energy audit, identification and investment in three (3) collective buildings in the city center to improve their energy performance in Municipality of Kamenica” and the second one focused on “Increasing the number of visitors in the Municipality of Kamenica”. Both project ideas were enhanced from the feedback received during the discussion part.

“Green Rural Deal - Sustainable and Smart Transition Strategies for Rural Municipalities” project is supported by the European Climate Initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, and is an initiation between Balkan Green Foundation, Wuppertal Institute, Germanwatch, Regional Association of Local Government of Western of Local Government of Western Macedonia and RES Foundation.
