Balkan Green Foundation has opened the Call for Application for the RISE Journey.
RISE Journey is a specially tailored program that is free of charge to participate in and it will help youngsters learn, grow, and make a change in their surroundings. Youngsters of ages 18-35 can apply to be part of the RISE Journey with an idea, an innovative solution for a new and better way to approach education, women empowerment, culture, rural development, health, or employment in their communities.
The RISE (Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs) project believes that the youth of the Western Balkans are talented, full of innovative ideas, and eager to achieve them. That’s why we want to support social business ideas that will make the region a better place.
RISE Journey provides participants with the chance to participate in special mobility and business development grants in the second phase of the Journey. These grants will help youngsters to explore the regional social business practices and give them a financial kick-off.
RISE Journey consists of two phases:
1. The Ideation Phase, which lasts for four months and six to eight teams part of this phase will be part of weekly training, mentoring, and meetups to successfully turn their undeveloped idea into an idea ready to be part of the Incubation Phase,
2. The Incubation Phase, which lasts for six months. Two teams from the Ideation Phase advance into this phase, by getting a grant of EUR 2,500.00, and continuing into a more advanced phase of training, mentoring and developing their idea into social entrepreneurship that is ready to hit the market.
