Balkan Green Foundation and its implementing partner Germanwatch, are looking for six teams of qualified researchers (consisting of two individuals) or organizations from the Western Balkans 6 countries (namely: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia)
Teams of researchers/Organizations from each country will be directly involved in conducting a discussion paper for the Gas Infrastructure in their countries. This assignment is a deliverable in the framework of the project “Multi-Actor Partnership”, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and supported by Engagement Global.
The overall objective of the discussion paper is to contribute to a better understanding among the general public and public servants for the benefits and/or disadvantages/drawbacks brought by developing gas infrastructure and integrating gas in the energy mix of the Western Balkans 6.
The specific objectives are: understanding the current situation including infrastructure and legislative framework of each country; identifying the main stakeholders relevant in gas developments and their position regarding the matter; analysing the geopolitical implications of gas in each country; investigating the development of gas infrastructure vis-à-vis decarbonisation; identifying environmental implications of bringing or developing the gas (market).
The duration of the assignment will be 1 month.
