Regional NGO Forum on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans

On March 30th Belgrade was the site of an important gathering, as the Balkan Green Foundation (BGF) participated in the ‘Regional NGO Forum on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans’. The event was organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) in collaboration with EU4GREEN and brought together various representatives from civil society organizations, the donor community, international organizations, and regional government officials.

The Forum provided a platform for discussing pressing environmental issues with the aim of enhancing the role of civil society and supporting engagement in the implementation of the Green Agenda Action Plan across the Western Balkans.

BGF's Project Coordinator, Trim Doli, took part in the first session, where progress on the implementation of ‘Decarbonization and Depollution Roadmaps’ was discussed. Mr. Doli shared his insights on the challenges and opportunities facing Kosovo and the Western Balkan region, emphasizing the importance of building stronger institutional capacities to push forward the green agenda.

In conclusion, the ‘Regional NGO Forum on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans’ was important for fostering collaboration and driving progress toward a more sustainable future. Through ongoing dialogue and cooperation, stakeholders can work together to achieve a greener, more resilient, and prosperous Western Balkans.
