Today, the Municipal Assembly of Klina approved the five (5) year Action Plan “Ecosystem Services and Intelligent Investments in the Municipality of Klina” which was drafted by the Balkan Green Foundation (BGF) within the “Green Cross” project.
This plan aims to identify the economic potential that this municipality has, incorporating the principles of sustainability and new concepts such as "smart city", in local development. The plan will also serve to increase the accountability of local authorities for the protection of natural capital and its sustainable use.
The Action Plan "Ecosystem Services and Intelligent Investments in the Municipality of Klina" was implemented within the project "Green Cross" funded by the Delegation of the European Union to Albania through the cross-border program Albania-Kosovo under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II), and is implemented by the Balkan Green Foundation (BGF) and the Municipality of Klina in Kosovo; Environmental Center for Development, Education and Networking (EDEN) and Has Municipality in Albania.
