BGF participated in the RISE Regional BootCamp

Balkan Green Foundation (BGF), participated in the RISE Regional BootCamp held in Sarajevo from 14-19 of March 2022. The BootCamp gathered twelve teams from Western Balkans  6 countries (WB6) to kick-off the Incubation Phase of the RISE Journey with in-depth training on different social entrepreneurship topics. Present in the training were also: 35 degrees, and Eco Solution - as the winners of the RISE Journey 2.0 Demo Day held in February by BGF. 

The RISE Regional BootCamp aimed to provide youth space for knowledge and ideas exchange, capacity building of young entrepreneurs to become economically independent and take leadership roles in the community. 

The event provided space for community building and networking between the participants, with the goal that this networking will contribute to wider regional cooperation, emphasize the role of young people in the social entrepreneurship development and the importance of active citizen participation. 

On the fourth day of the RISE Regional Bootcamp, Shpend Mustafa, Project Coordinator at BGF, led the training on ‘Sales prospects and negotiations’. Shpend shared with the participants the basics of commercial prospect, by focusing on: objectives, prospects, strategy definition, and setting up of the organization to effectively bring the desired customers to the business. He also put an emphasis on telemarketing and LinkedIn by explaining the SPICES method, and also, the importance of building customer loyalty to gain visibility and customer recommendations.

The second part of the presentation focused on the negotiation topic. Shpend unfolded: basic concepts of negotiation, the differentiation between sales and negation, and techniques for integrative negotiation.

After the training, the twelve teams of the RISE Regional Bootcamp will start to implement their regional mobility activities, their social entrepreneurship ideas, and thus, initiate their social impact in their communities.

The RISE project - the Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs - believes that young people in the Western Balkans are talented, full of innovative ideas, and eager to achieve them. This is why we want to support social entrepreneurship ideas that will make the region a better place.
