On February 10, Balkan Green Foundation organized "Demo Day" in the framework of the RISE - Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs project. In this virtually held event, the five participating teams presented their innovative ideas to the independent jury, explaining more specifically the process of developing their ideas from the beginning of the Ideation phase.
The jury evaluated the participating teams of "Demo Day" in four areas: (i) the composition and professional development of the team, as well as their motivation, (ii) the identified problem and the solution offered, (iii) the positive impact given the beneficiary's influential space, and (iv) the future development steps of the team to transform into successful social ventures.
After the jury evaluation, the teams that were selected to proceed to the Incubation phase are: “35 degrees” and “Eco Solution”.
“35 degrees” aims to place on the market a toilet seat that positions the body by sitting naturally and comfortably, that prevents and cures diseases such as colitis, appendicitis, hemorrhoids, constipation, and colon cancer. “Eco Solution” aims through their idea to influence the reduction of food waste and reuse it as natural fertilizer by developing the composting process.
The two selected teams were awarded 2,500 € by the RISE 2.0 project and will continue their journey for the next six months, to gain further support for the development of their social enterprises.
